Concrete is hard. Everyone knows that -- which is why so many people use it for foundations, driveways, walls, patios and more. But more than just literally, concrete is hard. We know that, because we've been working with it all of our lives. Our dad, our uncles, and most of our family have had long, established careers as concrete workers and masons in West Central Minnesota. We grew up working on construction sites during the summers, and have been working with concrete ever since. This is what we know how to do and we do it better than anyone else. Concrete is also hard to do right -- which is why we strive for excellence on all of our jobs. At the end of the project, you will have quality concrete that will stand the test of time. We are committed to doing it right the first time, every time. You can expect the best from us. Not only that, but concrete is hard. It is a very physically demanding career. Riggs Bros. offers a strong combination of tireless work ethic and intelligence -- we work harder, but we also work smarter. We provide quality work and professional service from your first estimate to your site layout to your finishing touches. We strive to be the best part of your construction experience.
DAVID REIGSTAD: has been a successful Project Superintendent for Marcus Construction from 1996 to 2004. In this role, he gained experience in all aspects of management -- including labor crews, sub-contractors, materials purchasing, project meetings, and more -- on projects in several states, as well as experience in poured walls, colored and stamped concrete, and block and brick. David handles all of the sales, customer relations, estimating, material purchasing, and job buy-out responsibilities for Riggs Bros. Concrete. His professional portfolio includes: project, site, and crew management for the Monsanto seed warehouse and office in Stanton, MN; the Western Consolidated Cooperative in Holloway, MN (290' x 500' grain storage building with receiving pit -- 3,400 cy of concrete); 4 buildings for US Gypsum in Ft. Dodge, IA (33' deep pit and 3' thick walls); the Allwood Furniture building in Phoenix, AZ (first tilt-up concrete building for Marcus Construction -- poured slabs of concrete to form the walls of the building); an Interstate Rest Area for the Texas DOT in Amarillo (poured 62' high walls -- 3,000 cy of concrete). More locally, he worked on the brick and block at the Dr. Gardner Dental Office for PGS Masonry; and the flatwork, curbs, exposed aggregates, and colored and stamped concrete patios at the Tiffany Square Strip Mall and El Tapatio restaurant for Marcus Construction. STEVEN REIGSTAD: has earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the hardest-working concrete men in West Central Minnesota, both at Marcus Construction and Beaver Masonry. He has extensive experience in residential and light commercial work including reinforcing steel, setting forms, screeding, troweling, raking, and finishing, and has operated riding trowelers. Steven is responsible for project management, site layout, finishing, equipment, and job planning at Riggs Bros. Concrete. He has finished well over 1 million square feet of concrete floors including: Hennen's Furniture, Menards, Wal-Mart, and the Mobile Home Factory; and he was the crew foreman for the Buffalo Lake Ethanol Plant and the Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative. We pour more than just concrete -- we pour our hearts and our pride into every job we do.
